Ostic House Hostel - Yogyakarta

We recently stayed at a fantastic hostel in Southeast Asia and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Oscar, was incredibly helpful and even picked us up from the airport. the staff at the hostel were also friendly and always willing to assist. the rooms and facilities were great, and the wifi worked perfectly. the location was ideal, with both the Sultan Palace area and the bar-restaurant district within walking distance. the hostel helped us organize trips to nearby attractions, and we also had the option to use the rooftop swimming pool at a nearby hotel for a small fee. the breakfast each morning was delicious, with a variety of options prepared.

We had a wonderful time at Ostic House and would highly recommend it to others. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property 😊.

They took the time to explain all the exciting activities and tours available, ensuring I didn't miss out on any of the must-see attractions. The communal space was spacious and clean, allowing me to connect with fellow travelers and create unforgettable memories. The comfortable dorm beds provided a good night's sleep, and the air conditioning kept the room pleasantly cool. The daily changing breakfast was a delightful surprise, adding variety to my mornings. I appreciated the helpfulness and extensive knowledge of the staff, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable and stress-free. The hostel's prime location in an area filled with restaurants and bars made exploring the vibrant city of Yogyakarta a breeze. I had an absolutely fantastic time at Ostic House and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch hostel experience.

The room at Ostic House was comfortable and cozy, with a nice seating area to unwind after a long day. As a disabled guest, it provided me with the comfort and relaxation I needed.

Personally, I found the shared bathroom a bit inconvenient. However, others may still find it satisfactory.

We had an amazing stay at this hostel. the staff at OstiC House were incredibly welcoming and friendly. the hostel itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy, homey atmosphere. the mural paintings and quotes on the walls make it very Instagrammable. the beds were comfortable and the basic amenities provided were sufficient. We had a great time playing games on the Xbox 360 Kinect and table soccer. the breakfast, which was included in the price, was delicious and we appreciated that they prepared it for us to take away on our early morning tour. The location of the hostel is also perfect, with many tourist spots and restaurants within walking distance. Cons: Not obvious to find 🌟.

Great value for money! The room was comfortable and the hostel had a homey feel. The location was convenient, with tourist spots and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were cute, friendly, and very accommodating.

The breakfast offerings could be improved by addressing the taste of the tap water used for brushing teeth.

This hostel was mind-blowing! The staff were super friendly and had a wealth of local knowledge. The comfortable beds and good aircon made for a great night's sleep. The large social space and shared kitchen were perfect for meeting other guests and cooking meals. The outdoor space was a nice touch. The hostel was spotlessly clean and the daily breakfast was different and delicious. The staff organized tours and evenings out, adding to the overall amazing experience. I would definitely return if I visit the city again!

I had a great stay at a lovely hostel with a spacious common room and clean bathrooms. The staff provided helpful information and maps. Although the prices for shuttle and tours were a bit higher, I still had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, with supermarkets, restaurants, and bars nearby. The staff were pretty good too ensure my comfort and even took me to a unique dining experience. I highly recommend this hostel for its really good hospitality and amenities.

Had the best time at this hostel over Christmas! the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They even organized a Christmas party for all the guests, complete with decorations and fun games. the breakfast spread was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from. the hostel's location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. I could easily walk to all the main attractions and there were plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby. the rooftop swimming pool was a huge bonus, offering a stunning view of the city skyline.

That there was only one bathroom with a sink for brushing teeth and washing hands. This caused a bit of a wait during peak hours, especially in the morning.

We loved our stay at this place, with great rooms and excellent service. It's just a short 5-minute drive from Gembira Loka Zoo, and there's also Sixsenses Kitchen nearby for easy dining options.
